An innovative design, the Viking VT9800 headsets feature On/Off switch with volume control on the

right ear cup. Wearers can "turn up" volume to hear low-level sounds such as speech and machinery

warnings. When dangerous impulse or continuous noise levels occur over 85 db, the headset reacts

and immediately attenuates for protection. Operates on two AA batteries (not included) located in the

Ordinary passive hearing protectors determine what will be

heard and how much. Viking’s VT9800 electronic earmuffs

enable users to retain contact with their surroundings while

being protected from harmful noise.

The volume control permits adjustment from maximum

amplification to total shut off, with variation from active

communication to passive hearing protection.

Sudden loud noises are effectively attenuated so that

the harmful sound waves never reach the eardrums.
